This piece was three years in the making.
Biblio Tech. OK, so you see the books, and the biblio part makes sense. But what about the tech? Here is an interesting feature of this piece. The books that you see are the DNA of several of the pieces that I’ve produced over the last few years. What? Let me explain. Certain types of projects require a “wipe tower” to prevent colours from bleeding between layers. Usually, this tower is considered waste. I always thought they looked gorgeous, and I’ve saved them. Until today.
If you look closely at each “book” you will see why I called them DNA; The colour palette for each piece is splayed out in the order in which each colour was printed. It is the blueprint of the piece. Judging by the colours used and the size of each stripe, I can usually predict which piece it is derived from. It is like matrix vision.
