A slash of sunlight etches the peak of a secret mountain in winter mist.
What you can't see is the warm glow that this piece paints in a dimly lit room.
This wonderful view was captured during a long hike in the snowy trails around Fernie, British Columbia.
This is the essence of what dimensional expression can offer. I fashion different material thicknesses, colour layering and densities to create rich and detailed images ... and then I bathe it in back light and it is a whole new story.
NOTE: this piece is meant to be viewed in both normal room light and with back lighting. To assist with back lighting, I have added an LED ultra thin recessed light into the frame and added an electrical cord and switch. I am not an electrical engineer, and I must include the following legal disclaimer: the purchaser and any user agrees to have the unit inspected for safety by an appropriate licenced professional prior to use, and the vendor disclaims liability for damages or injury howsoever caused, including through negligence.
