The word “currency” comes from the root word “current”, meaning “to flow”. It has become synonymous with money. How it flows is important. In any modern economy - from global to local - we see that the flow is not open and expansive like a river delta, but routed and managed, like a trench. Efficient, purpose-built, a closed system.
